    The heat! The blazing midday sun became too much after 20km and this became an exercise in lurching between areas of tree shade and of maximizing hydration. This was meant to be the last long pre-marathon run but is a week late and >5km short, which doesn't bode well for the 23rd in terms of distance acclimation but the pace was fine.
